According to IDC analysts, sales of server systems in the Russian market increased significantly in 2019. The last quarter of the year was particularly successful and server deliveries increased by 10.6% in money.
Good year, great quarter
The volume of the Russian server hardware market increased by 7.6% in 2019 and reached $1.035 billion as it was informed by IDC Russia analysts.
At the end of the fourth quarter of 2019, 48 260 server systems of all types were sold on the Russian market for a total of $362.85 million and this is 10.6% more than in the fourth quarter of the previous year.
"The market showed the strong positive dynamics in the fourth quarter. The corporate segment continued to invest in infrastructure development. There was a steady demand for high-performance systems. Large companies of almost all industries continue to invest both in infrastructure upgrades and in the implementation of new services. The growth of the market in both quantitative and monetary terms proves that," - said Mikhail Lebedev, manager of the program of the corporate systems market research, IDC in Russia and the CIS.
The leaders of the Russian market of server systems
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) remained the leading company in the Russian server solutions market in the end of the fourth quarter of 2019. It is followed by Dell Technologies, Russia's Yadro and Huawei, which, according to IDC, showed strong growth rates in deliveries.
